Mr Suresh Chandrashekar is a Consultant Foot and Ankle Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon based in London. He sees private patients at the following locations:

  • Nuffield Health Highgate Hospital
  • The London Independent Hospital

Mr Chandrashekar completed his primary medical qualification at the University of Mumbai, India in 2001. Following this, he undertook his residency training in general surgery and trauma & orthopaedics at The State Medical Academy in St Petersburg, Russia during 2001-2004 and was awarded a MS degree upon its completion. He furthered his training in trauma and orthopaedics in the UK through a specialty rotation across NHS Trusts in Manchester, Harlow and the Royal London Hospital. He successfully completed his exams and was awarded his Fellowship Diploma in Orthopaedics with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2012. He later completed further subspecialty fellowship training in Foot and Ankle Orthopaedic Surgery at the University Hospitals of Southampton NHS Foundation Trust.

Mr Chandrashekar has clinical expertise in the management and treatment of several foot and ankle conditions and injuries using minimally invasive surgery, including the following conditions:

Alongside his clinical work, Mr Chandrashekar is committed to research projects for foot surgery and has peer-reviewed publications, successfully presenting at his work at both international and national medical conferences.

Mr Chandrashekar is also passionate about teaching and actively trains medical students and orthopaedic trainees within the NHS and is an examiner and faculty member for The Royal College of Surgeons in England affiliated FRCS Orth Revision courses.
