Medical Qualifications

Mr Robert Hensher qualified with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from Liverpool University in 1972. This was followed by Licentiate of the Royal College of Physicians, Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons and a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree from Liverpool University in 1978. He went on to certify as a Fellow in Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1981 and then was awarded his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1985.

Medical Experience

He was appointed as a Consultant OMF (Oral and Maxillofacial) Surgeon at Gloucester, Cheltenham and Cirencester Hospitals in 1986. Whilst there Mr Hensher pioneered jaw joint replacement and was invited to join the American Society of TMJ Surgeons, one of the first non-American Surgeons to receive this honour.

He is currently a Consultant Oral Maxillofacial Surgeon at the Lister Hospital, London and an Honorary Consultant at University College Hospital, London. His clinical interests include dental implantology, facial and cosmetic osteotomies.
