Kavin Andi is a Consultant Oral & Maxillo-Facial Surgeon and Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer specialising in Microvascular Reconstructive Facial Plastic Surgery at St Georges Hospital, University of London. Mr Andi is a core member of the Head & Neck Cancer Multidisciplinary Team and also treats patients with Facial Skin Cancer at Croydon University Hospital.

Experience

After completing Medical and Dental degrees at Barts and The London Schools of Medicine and Dentistry Kavin undertook his Basic Surgical Training in Essex before returning to the London Deanery Higher Surgical Training programme in Oral & Maxillo-Facial Surgery at The Royal London Hospital; St Bartholomew's Hospital; King's College Hospital and Guys and St Thomas' Hospitals.

Following the award of the FRCSEd he was subsequently ranked 1st in the United Kingdom by the Joint Committee for Higher Surgical Training for the Advanced Head & Neck Surgical Oncology Training Fellowship programme which he successfully completed at Guys Hospital, in conjunction with the award of Fellowship of The Higher Education Academy.Kavin is the Clinical Research Lead in the department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery supervising a number of projects in his areas of interest including augmented reality, robotic surgery and 3D virtual surgical planning for which he was awarded the prestigious 2012 Norman Rowe Clinical Prize by the British Association of Oral & Maxillo-Facial Surgeons. He has published widely in these areas and has also written original software on multiple platforms including the web; creating user-friendly tools for clinical and outcomes research data collection.
