Medical Qualifications
Mr Joe Marais qualified with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (Rand) degree in 1985, following which he was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (Glasgow) in 1991 and Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (Otorhinolaryngology) in 1996. He undertook his junior doctor training in London and trained as a Registrar and Senior Registrar in Edinburgh. Mr Marais subsequently underwent subspecialist training during fellowships both in Texas, USA and in Toronto, Canada.
Medical Experience and Training
Mr Marais was appointed as a Rhinologist and Nasal Plastic Surgeon upon his return to the UK and works privately at the Clementine Churchill and Bishops Wood hospitals in Northwest London. His special interests include rhinoplasty surgery, nasal obstruction, sinusitis, snoring and allergy.
