Medical Qualifications

Mr Malik qualified in medicine and neurosurgery at universities in Pakistan. He went on to complete advanced neurosurgical training in the UK, at the the University Hospital of Coventry and Warwickshire and the Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield. Mr Malik subsequently completed fellowships in Complex Spine and Epilepsy Surgery from King’s College London and the University Hospital of Coventry and Warwickshire.

Medical Experience

Mr Malik is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (Neurosurgery) and was the first surgeon in England to perform the new minimally invasive spinal surgery technique of endoscopic microdiscectomy.

He is a Consultant Spinal Neurosurgeon at a number of hospitals in the London area including the Harley Street Clinic, King’s College Hospital, and the London Bridge Hospital.

Mr Malik is a member of a team of Consultant Neurosurgeons at the London Neurosurgery Partnership. This Partnership is a unique concept in the provision of neurosurgical care. Comprised of a team of recognised super-specialists in their area of expertise, the aim is to ensure that every patient seen by the group is given the individualised and state-of-the-art care each patient deserves. The London Neurosurgery Partnership has access to all of the latest neurosurgical technologies, including CyberKnife© and Gamma Knife© for radiosurgery. This allows conventional open surgery to be omitted completely in some cases, as well as minimally invasive techniques for cranial and spinal neurosurgery when this is not possible.

In addition to his expertise in keyhole spinal surgery, Mr Malik is an expert in disc replacement surgery for neck and back pain, epilepsy surgery and non-surgical treatments for degenerative, malignant and traumatic spinal disorders.
