Mr Currie is a General Gynaecologist with a special interest in prolapse, incontinence surgery, treatment of pelvic floor disorders such as urinary incontinence and vaginal reconstructive surgery (including prolapse).

In the NHS, Mr Currie was clinical lead for women and children's services for the NHS Trust from 2007 until 2011 before being elected to the role of Vice President UK Affairs at the RCOG, He is the National lead for information and chairs the executive committee as well as vice chair for the ethics committee.

Mr Currie undertook his clinical fellowship post in Toronto in urogynaecology and pelvic reconstructive surgery. Ian has several publications and articles as well as peer reviews for leading journals and has received the maximum 9 Clinical Excellence awards points from his Trust.
