Medical Qualifications

Dr Pamela Mangat qualified with honours in 2000 from Imperial College London and Cambridge Unversity. She was subsequently awarded a Master of Arts in Pathology from Cambridge University in 2001. Her higher specialist training in rheumatology was carried out at St Bart’s and the London Hospital, the Royal Free Hospital, London and the Royal Adelaide Hospital, Australia. Dr Mangat was awarded the Professor Ledingham prize for Renal Medicine in 2003 and in 2006 went on to be awarded the British Society of Rheumatology Travelling Fellowship.

Medical Experience and Training

She has a specialist interest in the research of rheumatological conditions and has worked at the Bone and Joint Research Unit (William Harvey Institute) and the Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology, Imperial College London. Dr Mangat is a consultant at the Royal Free Hospital, London where she leads the Early Inflammatory Arthritis Service which helps to manage and treat patients with general rheumatological conditions and inflammatory arthritis alongside Dr Huw Beynon and Dr Richard Stratton.
